The baby who was left behind

One day there was a family near the lake in the mountains, they were a big family, starting with the mom and dad, then 2 female twins, 3 boys and a baby. They were going to camp and they were hoping to be able to hunt animals in the next day. But first they instaled the tent and make a little table so they could eat there. When the night came they made a little fire so they could burn marshmellows and be warm.

After they woke up, they got ready for hunting, and wear with comfortable clothes and boots. Because of the baby, someone needed to take care of him, but the boys didnt want to miss that opportunity to kill animals. So the twins decided to babysit the baby. During the day the twins were so bored, so one told to the other one that she wanted to go swimming, and just after that they took the baby and went down the hill to the lake. When they got there they leave the baby in the grass in a basqet.

Meanwhile the brothers were trying to hunt a bear, but the animal run so fast, that they decided to leave it there. After 2 hours they saw the bear again near the lake drinking water and then they follow the animal with their guns. The bear got scared and begin to run and destroy everithing that he was touching, the girls freak out and start runing to their camp.

Then when they got there the rest of the family was there really scared, so the parents told them to leave. They packed everithing and leave, but they forgot something, one member of their family, the little baby.

Sunshine Port

Once upon a time, there was a young lady named Frida. Frida came from a family of fishermen, they lived in one of the most beatiful ports in the whole world, Sunshine Port. This port was not like the others, it had white sand, crystalline water, thousands of fish species, it was an amazing tourist destination. Frida was born in Sunshine Port, and there she grew up surrounded by the love of her family, the beach, and specially fish, that was her favorite food ever, no wonder why.

Sunshine Port was at its high point, everyone from around the world wanted to go with the sunshiners to deal, buy and sell. It was a very busy port. By that time Frida was seventeen years old, and she was proud of her hometown. The port was also famous because it had the biggest pearl in the world, tourist came not just to buy thing, also to see and be amazed by the world biggest pearl.

Everything was doing well until one day. That day changed Sunshine Port forever. It was on the evening when Frida heard a loud noise, she was the only that heard it appearently, beacuse anyone else was sleepping. She quickly came out of her big house-boat. And was she saw there, was not Sunshine Port, its characteristic white sand, was not white anymore, it looked more like a black tone, covered with rocks, and also the crystalline water was changed, turned into a horrendus navy blue. She could saw the dead fish floating over sea. She didn't know what was happening, suddenly Frida start crying, it was that kind of uglyness that made you cry.

She couldn't see what exactly was going on, but she distinguish a crowd of tall and big men who were destroying the port. The pier was fill with big wholes, the shopping stands were destroyed, everything was a mess. Frida was hiding near her house, so the men could not see her. While she was weondering who were those men, she felt a big sweaty and hairy hand that grabbed her delicate neck, she screamed as loud as she could, but the guy covered with mouth with a rag and tape. The man took Frida to the boat where everyone got out, then a big crew of men gathered arround her. They started to cheer and screamed, then the guy took the rag and the tape of Frida's mouth, so she can speak. "We will do this quickly young lady, so if you don't cooperate, expect horrible thing to happen!, Where is the Sunshine Pearl!?"

Firda didn't answer. They asked again and again and again, but she still didn't answer. "This is your last chance to tell us sweety, we are gonig to find it anyway, we just wanna find it quickly and don't hurt anybody!" one man said. "I don't believe you, and you won't hear anything from me or form any sunshiner, our job is to protect the pearl." That's it we are just waisting or time!, Kill her Smith!", "but sir you said..", "I know what I said, but know I'm saying something else!, KILL HER NOW!", and a shot gun was heard all over Sunshine Port, Frida was dead. Suddenly all the sunshiners woke up and saw the devastation themselves. They were horrified.

The pirates got up in the boat as soon as they can, and threw Frida's body into the sand. When the pirates left, her family ran to the sand to get Frida's body. Thay sreamed, cryed their heart out, they didn't know what happened. From that day on, no one ever went to Sunshine Port, which was named Shadow Port now. They remembered the girl who gave her life in vain to save her beloved port, but when Frida's life was taken, Sunshine life was taken too.

The two brothers and the forest

Once upon a time, in Holland, there were two brothers, a boy and a girl. Their names were Ana and Mark and they lived with their mom in a little house near a forest. This forest was an ugly burned forest were no one liked to walk through because it was all deteriorated and at night it was scary. The two brothers weren't that helpful because when they went there they would only throw papers of the candies and cut the trees with razors, specially Mark.

Once, they were bored at their house when Mark created a game. He told his sister if she wanted to join him and Ana, without knowing the plan, accepted. They went to the middle of the forest and Mark started throwing all kinds of colored paper and candies. Ana was supposed to find the way out of the forest to the house in the most little time. She started alone very well and found the candies, but suddenly, there were two paths, both with papers and candies. The sun was about to hide and she didn't knew which path to follow so she started to cry. Then, she decided for to go right and she went there.

Meanwhile, Mark was at his house starting to worry about his sister because it was late. So he told her mom and after punishing him, they went to look for her and after finding her they went to sleep angry with each other. Next morning when they woke up, they found out that their mother was not breathing in he bed. They knew that she had heart attaks and cant had strong feelings, so they called an ambulance and found out her mother had died the night before. That house wasn't theirs so they left out the two brothers, and without a house, they went to sleep to the forest with all their belongings.

Ana was scared of the forest, so Mark build a little house of wood so they could spend some days there while they could bought another one. The first days, Ana didn't liked it at all, because it reminded her the bad moments there so she didnt go out unless she needed. Mark went out to recolect fruits to eat. And while months passed, Ana was getting slowly used to it, she went out to play with her brother but only near the house but before the sun could hide, she was inn the house.

A year passed when Ana started to help his brother to recolect fruits and other stuff to eat, she didnt had fear of the forest anymore. Ana started to like the forest actually, and she started to regret all the bad stuff she did to them a year ago. She started to water the trees and plants there so they could look better. One day, Mark arrived with a good news, he had obtained a good house in the other side of the city. He told Ana to pack all the stuff, but Ana didn't liked the new. She told Mark that she didn't wanted to go far away from there and that she actually liked it, she told him that she wanted to stay, Mark was ok with that so they stay there. When years passed, the forest wasn't anymore an ugly and scary place, families went there to eat lunch and had picnics. Ana and Mark always watered the plants and made a beautiful place with the forest and stayed there happily ever after.

Separate Ways

Once upon a time, there was a very beautiful couple that were always together. Their names were Anibal and Micaela. Anibal was a very handsom guy of 17 years old, and Micaela was the prettiest and sexiest girl of the high school they were in. All of the girls wanted to be Anibal's girlfriends but he only had eyes for Micaela.

The summer vacations were arriving and of course the end of the last semester too. Anibal was going to Monterrey for studying medicine and Micaela was staying in Hermosillo studying architecture. They knew that they were going to be separated for a while, but they were going to visit each every 3 to 4 months. After 5 years of career, they promised to marry, and they were going to wait for each other.

The next months passed, arriving the prom and the goodbyes. During the prom, Anibal and Micaela promised that they were going to be together for ever and always and that nothing was going to separate them. The next day Anibal was taking the plane to Monterrey because he needed to arrange some things and he was staying there for the next 4 months of his semester. The goodbye was very sad for both of them, tears followed when they separated. Iñaki, Micaela's best friend was with her in the parting. Iñaki was in love with Micaela since first semester he met her, but he never told his feelings to her because he knew she loved someone else.

From then on, things changed, Micaela was very sad, she was not as outgoing as she was before and nothing and nobody could fill her emptiness. Iñaki always did things in order to make her feel better, and he achieve it. The months passed and Micaela and Iñaki were more united than ever, but she didn't notice that little by little her sadness was disappearing, but also her love to Anibal. Micaela noticed that her thoughts about Anibal were going out of her head, and she knew that that was wrong, that she couldn't fall in love of her best friend.

Four months passed, and Anibal arrived to Hermosillo as he said he would do it. When he saw Micaela he gave her the violets she loved, and kissed her. In that moment Micaela realized that she didn't love him anymore. She didn't feel anything at the moment his lips touch hers and she better told him the truth. Micaela told him that unfortunately things were not going to work the way they planned, that they had to go through different ways and maybe one day their ways may meet each other, but by the time they have to break up. This was a very sad new to Anibal, that he was arriving with all the emotion to see his love, and to break up with her all of a sudden. But later he understood that, and also understood that Iñaki and Micaela were starting a relationship.

Once upon in a sea called Cortez, lived two dolphins named Merry and Pippin, they were brothers and loved each other, they always helped one each other and tell all the secrets between them. They always defend bewteen themselves against very dangerous predators, and together they always won.

But one day when sunset was ending and the dolphins were playing around some kind of rock, Merry told Pipin that he was kind of tired and that he was going to take a nap, Pippin said okey and startes jumping the rock when suddenly a very huge killer whale appeared on the sight of Pippin; he was so scared that started swimming as fast as he could, the killer whale was pursuing him and he was screaming and making a very lud noise.

After a while of being pursued Pippin was so tired that he could not swim anymore and when he turned bakc the killer whale dissappeared and he was so happy that he went with Merry and told him all what had happened to him. Merry told him never to get back to that but Pippin told him that was a lot of fun jumping those rocks.

So one night when it was too darks and Merry was sleeping, Pippin went to the rocks and start playing there, when in about 30minutes the killer whale appeared again, but Pippin this time was very decided to fight the killer whale so he started fighitng with it,when Merry heared all the noise and went quiclky to the rock, Merry helped Pippun in the fight but the whale was so tough that tear out a fin to Pippin, Merry was so angry that killed the whale with only one bite.

When they went back home Merry told hm to took the inicdent as a bad experiende and never return to the rocks to play, Pippin finally understood the lesson and never returned to the rocks to play again.

It will be very appropiate to know what things to say and waht things to don't. Sometimes people think that if some things are done in their countries, they will be also practiced in other parts, but that's wrong. It's better to know what conversations you can have and prevent fights. Religion is a very controversial subject, so it's better not to touch it. If you're going to talk about religion just ask about what they are used to do in important days, not to compare and argue about which is better.

Finally, when you know already that person, you can invite him or her to your house. It will be very appropiate because the invited person will learn what things are done in the new city where he or she is living. The person will know the costumes, traditions and all the things to be a mexican. Obviously, if there are things that in his os her city are forbidden, don't force to do anything, but don't stop to do it either. Both of you will learn what the other's castumes and traditions are, and you will learn to tolerate each other. It will be interesting for both of you to learn new things and also to know how people from other parts of the world live.

How to break up with your boyfriend

My process say how to break up with your boyfriend, its important to know how to do that because you will need that knowledge sometime in your life. My purpose of my process is for you to know hos to end a relationship with someone, helping you to understand why and how. You will only need to have your mind clear and a good attitude. In my essay i will talk about how to break up with someone, but helping you to do it the right way.
First you need to think what is the problem and see if you can do anything to correct it, after that you try to understand why are you going to break up, what are your reasons. When you are doing this you need to realize if that reasons are important, i mean if they are not too serious.
Then you need to remember if he is good to you, if he treat you well and if he is a support to you, or if he is a problem in your life. Meanwhile you are thinking too if he is good for you, and why yes or why not. After that you realize if your relationship with him is working. And think a lot about how you feel about him, if you love him... As soon as you do that you talk with him and say how you feel about that, and finally say that you want to break up, but explaining to him why.
Its very important to follow the process beacause if you dont do it that way, thinking first and then talking you can make a mistake and regret yourself. My process begins with thinking about all that has to do with your relationship, then taking a desicion and finaly ending that relationship.

Completing a homework assignment its a lot easier if you follow some steps that will lead you to submit your work with the desired standards. For some students, doing homework is a pain in the ass, but the truth is that is one of the easiest thing to do, you just need to follow the correct steps in the right order, and in a short amount of time you'll be done.

First of all, you need a place where you can start doing your homework. This place needs to be located as far as you can from the main distractor: the television. Also, the place needs to be well iluminated, organized and ventilated. Then, you need to establish an schedule for doing your homeworks, because if you do, soon you will adapt to that schedule and it'll be part of your routine. You need to be aware that in order to complete your assisnments, you need at least 30 minutes of rest arriving from school, that time will clear out your mind.

Don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today, that's the next step for completing your homework at time and with the standars required. Then you need to avoid distractions at the moment of doing it, focusing on what you are supposed to be doing. The next step its to gather all the materials and the supplies that you need to complete your homework, that way you won't be waisting time getting up your chair to look for the things you need.

Now that you have learned all the steps in order to complete an assignemnt properly, you won't have any excuse to submit your homeworks in a smaller amount of time and with all the requirements that the teacher asked you for.

Always dress with your best clothes and try your best to impress your date.
Firs of all reserve a very fine restaurant and go and buy new clothes if you do not have good a clean and new clothes. Never forget to reserve a very fine restaurant if you have enough the best one in the city, and buy some flowers, for your date.

When you get ready for the date and you had put all the outfit, get to your date´s house in the finest car ou have, if you do not have one rent one or rent a limusine, only if you have money.
After you do that when you get to the house, do not knock on the door, if she has a timbre(i do not know how to say it in English) first tocuh that, if she does not, knock the door.

At the time she opens give her the flowers you bought, and say to her that she looks very pretty and take her to the car or to the limo, and never forget to open her the door of the car, so she can enter first an then you enter. Take her to the resatuarant in an avergae speed do not try to impress her by driving fast, that looks really bad and never stay quiet always try to talk with her and try to keep a stable conversation.

When you get to the restaurant always move the chair so she can sit easier and faster, then you sit. Ask her what does she want to eat and always you call the waiter and ask the food for her and for yourself, try to be as educated as you can when eating, never open your mouth, your shoulders on the table, etc...
Finally never forget to pay the food she never has to do it, and when you finish eating take her back to home, acompain her to the door and say goodbye.

Maintaining a good relationship with your neighbors is not always that simple. Because every single person is quite complicated, that makes us even harder to have a good relationship with other people, even more when they live near you.

We can have all types of neighbors, but there are some rules that all people have to follow to have a good relationship with them. First of all, we need to be nice with them, because treating them in a good way is the basic thing every people askes for. Next, comes being neat, like paying the maintainance of your neighborhood and keeping clean your garage so there can be no insects around your house. This stuff is very important and essential because non of us likes to have a stinky place near us.

Another important thing is to keep your distance, like dont talk on their backs and critizie then never, but we cant confuse this with not having a good comunication, for example we need to be informed of what happens with our neighbors but with a limit, because we dont have to critize any of them. For all this, is really important to be honest, although comunicative in a good way. Then, to have our space, we need to not have music very loud and late, because this disturbes other people that want to sleep or that have to work next day.

So having a good relationship with neighbors can be a hard job. But if we apply all this methods all the time, we can do a good job and have a very nice relationship with them. We can also think that we might like our neighbors to be good persons, so we need to be just as we want others to treat us, and this can function really well.

Compare and contrast three pivotal choices or decisions made by Jamal and Salim. How do their decisions affected them in their lifes? the first choice is the one they made to help Lathika from the rain and meet her, if the would not have meet her he would not had win the contest. Another choice is the one Salim made when he saved his brother Jamal, if he would not had save him Jamal would have never won the contest. Another choice is the one Salim made of being a drugdealer if he would have followed Jamal´s path he would have survived.

Is ethical decision making possible must make choices based on survival? Do seemingly bad choices make a person bad? Sometimes you make bad choices only to survive but that does not mean that you are going to become bad most of the time is the person that depends on.

What do you think the film is saying about the globalization of culture through media? We see the game show
“Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” adapted in the Indian culture. Is this a sign of progress? Why or why not?
What is this film staying about the effect of money on culture? This a very important sign of globalization, because a lot of people have televisions in their and they can know what happens on other parts of the world, and the movie say that money can very influential for low class people because they think that they can do everything if they have a lot of money, and that sometimes people that live in rich countries may laugh or be racist with poor countries like India.

• In one exchange of dialogue in the film during the interrogation of Jamal, the police inspectors discuss the impossibility of what Jamal knows.
Police Inspector: Doctors... Lawyers... never get past 60 thousand rupees. He's on 6 million. [pause]
Police Inspector: What can our slumdog possibly know?
Jamal Malik: [quietly] The answers.
Discuss the irony in the film that Jamal “knows too much” and is suspected of cheating. Discuss the irony that in the end, his poverty may make him rich. What point is the film making? What is real wealth?

In the film Jamal is a young man, that have had a very difficult time since he was a child, but his experiences has giving him a lot of knowledge, he had lived a lot of important things and he didnt forget them. His knowledge and the things he have learned are extraordinary, because he was a poor boy and with a life without luxuries and good things like going to a school..

I think Jamal is using irony in that part of the film because the director wanted to reveal to the audience and the people that is watching it information about the character’s situation of which the other characters are not aware. Foreshadowing allow the reader or audience to witness scenes or situations that a character does not have access to.

• The game show format brings into to focus the culture of meaningless competition. What does the spectacle of the game say about what people value today? What values does the media promote? Are they humanizing values?

What people value today has anything to do with values, is more about money, power, beauty, class... and many of the people that want to have that achievments make bad things, or make desicions that are going to affect them in a bad way, to them and to other people. An example is George Bush, he didnt care of how many soldiers were going to die or how many inocent people were going to be affected. So, what most of the people value today is almost the same as the brother of Jamal wanted.

• Greed, corruption and the misuse of power are highlighted in the film through a variety of characters. How are those who have money and power glamorized in this film? What happens to the victims?

The ones that have power and a lot of things that comes with that like money... are the ones who have a lot but not the ones that have a good life, what i mean is that the power has givin them the opportunity to do whatever they want, even if they are doing wrong or making people their victims.

In this film Jamal and his girlfriend are victims of her brother and althougt of the boss. But at the end they lose and Jamal and her win a great life.

In the final scene, we see Salim and the choice he makes - filling the bathtub with money, etc. Why does he make this choice?
Salim knew that the other gansgters were about to kill him as soon as they notice that he gave his cell phone to Lathika, so what he does is filling the bathtub with money, maybe representing all the missernead money taht he had, all the money he made by kidnapping, mogging, stealing and killing, he wanted to redeem himself.

This film weaves together nightmare and impossible dream. What do you take away as the most important message or impression from the film?
That at the end it doesn't matter how much money you have or you earn because the only thing that remains with us is the love of the people we care of, in this movie the love between Lathika and Jamal.

• In one pivotal scene, the show’s host tells Jamal his own story about coming from the slums. He then gives Jamal the wrong answer written on the mirror in the rest room. Why did he give Jamal the wrong answer? What did Jamal do?

From the first moment in the game, the host starts discouraging Jamal by giving a lot of importance to his origins as a slumdog, and I think he gives Jamal the wrong answer because the host feels envy of the lucky and the money that Jamal's earning, or even angry because he did not have the same lucky as the host, maybe the host had being through a lot and it makes him angry that just by ansewring simple questions he's changing his life into the millionaire that costed to much for the host. At the end Jamal didn't trust the host and went with his own knowledge.

• Describe how loss, chance, luck, suffering, and street smarts are also characters behind the scenes. The film explores gain and loss side by side. Triumphs are tempered with loss. Where do you see this evident?

Since the beggining of the movie, you realize that you are not grateful enough of what you have, because you are able to see the quality of life that people who live in the slums have, you start to think and aprecciate all that your parents have given to you. On event that I notice a lost and then a gain is when a group of people start atacking the slums because of the religion they practice, Jamal and Salim experince the loss of their mother, but gaining a new friends, Lathika, rescuing her.

• The chaos and the constant noise and motion of Mumbai at the center of the film, (supported by a fabulous soundtrack) are contrasted with a deeper silent seeking. Describe what each of the main characters is seeking.

Jamal is seeking for Lathika, and Salim is looking for Jamal. All the noises and the traffic in Mumbai just makes the seeking more exciting with a tocuh of suspense.

• What does the title mean? How does the title and the
contrasts within it provide symbolic summary of the film?
The title, Slumdog Millionare, I think that it gives us the introduction about what the movie is going to be about, and in this case is telling us that maybe one of or the main character is going to be a poor person and later on, he or she will have money and be a rich person.

• Early in the film we see the young Jamal dive into a latrine
pit to steal a glimpse at a visiting movie star. How does his
single-mindedness to see this movie star reveal his determination?
What other examples do you see in the film of his
determination?
I think, that he doesn’t care about what he has to do in order to get what he wants, because for example, when he dive into the latrine pit he knew that the movie star was going to be once, just that day, and it was he’s only opportunity to do it, so he took the risk in order to get what he dreamed about. Another aspect in his determination, is when he wants to find Latika and he spends all his childhood and adolescence trying to find her, and when he wants to rescue her, and he finally do it.

• In the film, the theme of destiny is a central theme. What
does it mean that all Jamal desires is just out of his reach?
(The prized autograph, Latika, his brother, the answers, etc.)
I think that everything that happen to Jamal was for one reason, was to giving him the necessary tools in order to answer each one of the questions in the game, and rewarding everything he suffered in his life like poor boy.
